Now that Conan O'Brien's last show is long gone, we are still waiting for him to get his flaming red arse back to New York. In the meantime, he is stepping up to the plate for some of his staffers who didn't get severance packages.
There was a $7.5 million separation deal from NBC, yet still close to 50 folks on his crew got squat. Conan's promised to take care of them all via his own pocket for nearly a six-week severance. Have you ever had such a nice boss?
Word on the block is Conan's staff are "very happy" with how he handled the whole debacle with NBC. He bowed down with grace, class and millions of buckaroos. Not too shabby.
Conan can't host another show for seven months but we know we'll be seeing him back on the small screen in seven months and one day.
