Did anyone notice a shiny new piece of jewelry on Kristen Bell's finger on the red carpet of the Grammys Sunday evening?
Dax Shepard, 35, and Bell, 29, are currently co-starring in the rom-com, "When in Rome." They got engaged over the holidays and kept the news on the down low since then. That's a pretty impressive feat, given the celeb-stalking culture that we are. A famous person can barely eat red meat without PETA petitioning for a rally, let alone get engaged.
In the November issue of Women's Health, Bell discussed the competitive nature of her relationship with Shepard. "We were trying to one-up each other," she said. "That's what we do at home, too. It's like, 'Wait – watch me do this funny bit.' 'No, watch me do this funny bit!'"
The secret to their relationship? "I've learned the necessity for healthy communication. How important it is to talk about your deepest, darkest fears and feelings," she says. "Your partner should hear your most embarrassing insecurities, because once you say them out loud, you've created a safe zone."
And "a snuggle party can fix anything -- it's true," she added.
Mazel Tov to the happy couple!
