Lindsay Lohan is suing financial company E-Trade for $100 million in damages for modeling a "milkaholic," boyfriend-stealing baby named Lindsay after her in an ad that ran in the in the Superbowl last year.
The ad features a baby boy apologizing to his baby girlfriend for not calling her the evening before. "And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?" the baby girl asks him suspiciously. "Lindsay?" the boy replies. At that moment the Lindsay baby pops into the frame and says, "Milk-a-what?" We think it's witty!
Lohan's lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia claims her client's first name has the same recognition value as Oprah and Madonna. She stated, "Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit. They used the name Lindsay. They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."
Lindsay should be flattered that people know her by first name only, even if it's only when associated with cheating and drunken nights out. Everyone's got to have their M.O.!
